GründerGeist – a startup competition held in Hamburg was part of amsight’s agenda in September. As a provider of software solution, amsight took part in the competition alongside other promising tech start-ups and managed to be selected among the finalists.
Held annually by the Young Entrepreneurs (Wirtschaftsjunioren) of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, GründerGeist recognizes and celebrates outstanding early-stage businesses in the Hamburg region. This year's competition attracted a record number of more than 50 applications, highlighting the vibrant startup ecosystem in the city. Seven made it to the shortlist and were given the chance to pitch to a jury of experts.
GründerGeist goes beyond traditional competitions by recognizing and rewarding all participants, not just the winners. Every startup receives valuable feedback from industry experts, making participation a rewarding experience regardless of the outcome.
amsight's software is at the forefront of optimizing additive manufacturing (AM) processes. By streamlining processes and enhancing data management, amsight empowers businesses to produce high-quality 3D printed parts more efficiently and cost-effectively. As Peter Lindecke, co-founder and CCO of amsight, explained, "Poorly manufactured artificial hip joints can lead to complications, often requiring a second surgery. 3D printing offers a potential solution for optimal production, and amsight's software provides the necessary control over the manufacturing process, not just in medical applications but across various industries." The company's participation in GründerGeist 2024 has generated significant interest among other participants and guests of the event.
While the top prize ultimately went to Participayed (GoParto), a fintech startup, amsight remains confident in its innovative solution and commitment to driving the future of AM. The company will leverage the exposure gained at GründerGeist 2024 to build momentum and continue its trajectory.
